Built to order, not stocked. You send the spec; we build it.
HDD storage servers use SATA or SAS spinners. They are a fit for workloads that need raw capacity at a lower cost per terabyte: backups, archives, media libraries, large datasets, and long-term retention.
There are no fixed configurations on the shelf. We confirm the hardware, quote the build, and start assembly once the order is placed. Lead time and price depend on the exact parts and current availability.
What you can choose
- Chassis size and number of drive bays
- Drive model, capacity, and count (all HDD)
- RAID level or software-defined setup
- CPU and RAM to match the workload
- Network: 1Gbps, 10Gbps, or more; bonded or dedicated uplinks
- IPMI/KVM for remote management
- OS or hypervisor: Linux, Windows, VMware, Proxmox, or custom ISO
How it works
- Send your spec. Open a ticket with the hardware, storage, RAID, network, and use case.
- Get a quote. We reply within one business day with availability, lead time, and price.
- We build. We source the hardware, rack the server, install the OS, and configure networking.
- You get access. IPMI and root credentials are handed over once the server passes burn-in.
Network and data centre
Every storage server is connected to our 10Gbps core. DDoS protection, a /64 IPv6 block, and one IPv4 address are included. Private VLANs between your other servers are available on request.
Common questions
Is there a minimum contract? Custom builds are usually 12 months. Shorter terms are possible on request.
How long does it take? Most builds ship within 7-14 business days, depending on parts availability.
Can I add drives later? Yes, if the chassis has free bays. Contact us for an expansion quote.
